Monaro Community First is committed to providing quality supports, services, and programs to people with disability and the elderly to our region. Our services are evidenced, evaluated, and responsive. Our services are aligned with our mission to enhance the lives of people and their families through support and choice.
Aged Care Services
In-home Support Program in the Snowy Monaro region
Part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program for people over the age of 65, our In-home Support Program is designed to elevate the quality of life for people with disability and the elderly.
NDIS Services
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services in the Snowy Monaro region
Under the NDIS, Monaro Community First is funded to provide eligible people with disability to gain greater independence and appropriate interdependence to improve their quality of life.
Day Programs
Social and inclusive day programs for people with disabilities and the elderly
Our inclusive Day Programs invite individuals with disabilities and the elderly to participate in an engaging environment that promotes social connections and facilitates skill development.
Services we’re unable to provide
The focus of our organisation is on improving the quality of life for the people within our community. We are unable to provide the following services:
- Advocacy for clients. We can, however, provide information about the National Aged Care Advocacy Program or the Disability Advocacy Network Australia.
- Welfare services. We are unable to provide supports relating to financial hardship, homelessness, domestic or family violence, or substance dependency. We can support clients to link with appropriate providers to help them with the relevant supports.
- Perform as Enduring Guardians or Power of Attorney. There is more information about legally appointed decision-makers in our Decision-making and Choice Policy or you can seek legal advice through your choice of solicitor.
